MAINTENANCE

Our implements a full-process inspection management for the Mafi equipment, and the types of inspections include:

  • Base inspection

  • Inspection of leasing Mafi 

  • Inspection of Redelivering Mafi

  • Full inspection

The specific inspection items for the Mafi board are as follows (not limited to)

Rocker Arms & Axles

To be checked for proper operation and   greased if stiff or dry 

Axle bolts to be greased regularly

Rocker arms remain frozen or stiff even   after greasing, Customer to be advised

  Solid Tyres

 

Damage exceeds width 50mm x length 100mm   x depth 15mm

Tyre to be changed

Any damage such as cuts or tears to be   mentioned on estimate and such will be judged individually as to whether   action is required

Any abnormal wear should be indicated on   the estimate

Rims

 

Rims dented

Minor dents(10-12mm inwards/outwards) are   acceptable

Large dents

Require straightening or welding, or if   necessary rim to be changed, depending on damage

     Bearings

Wheels should be spun to ensure there is   not any noise from the bearings. A high noise level could indicate that the   bearings are faulty or worn out. 

Reasons for noise should be investigated   and rectified to avoid future axle breakdown.

     Hubcaps

Missing hubcaps

Hubcaps to be replaced. All components   are to be cleaned, carefully checked and greased before being mounted.

    Chassis

Cracks on welds or arms

All cracks on welds or arms must be   properly repaired.

    Landing Gear

 Landing gear dented

 

Minor dents(not exceeding 25mm) are   acceptable

Abnormal wear

 

Any abnormal wear should be reported on   the estimate

        TMTM connection         Point 

 

 Gooseneck Tunnel dented

 

Minor dents(not exceeding 25mm) are   acceptable

Gooseneck Tunnel Cracks, welding point 

No cracks are acceptable 

 Securing eyes for the safety chains

All damages affecting function or   strength must be repaired.

        Front Beam

 

Downward dent exists

 

Minor dents to upper flange (not   exceeding 25mm) are acceptable

 Upward dent exists

 

Not acceptable and must be repaired

      Side Beam

Bending downward and sideways

 

Minor dents(not exceeding 25mm) are   acceptable

      Cross Members

Sideways dent exists

Minor dents(not exceeding 25mm) in   flanges are acceptable

Downward dent exists

Minor dents(not exceeding 10mm) in   flanges are acceptable

     Fork Lift Pockets

Sideways dent exists

Minor dents(not exceeding 25mm) in   flanges are acceptable

Downward dent exists

Minor dents(not exceeding 10mm) in   flanges are acceptable

      Rear & Beam

Flange dented downwards

Minor dents(not exceeding 25mm) in   flanges are acceptable

Flange dented upwards

Upward dents in flanges are not   acceptable

Rear beam dented downwards

Minor dents(max 10mm downward & max   25mm inwards) are acceptable

Rear beam dented upwards

Rear beam must not be dent upwards

      Lashing Points

D-Rings 

No dents, cracks of the ringsMounting cap and   welding seam of the D-Ring fixture is not damaged

Lashing bar 

Lashing bar must be straight and no   cracks, no bending of more than 3cm allowed

Other Lashing Point damaged

All damages affecting function or   strength must be repaired or renewed

  Stanchion Pockets

Stanchion Pocket damaged

All damages affecting function or   strength must be repaired or renewed

         ISO Corner


Corrosion

Slight corrosion is acceptable but in   case of massive rust parts the unit must measured if the thickness of the   steel is still within the limits

  Container Fittings

       

Must always work properly

To be greased if required

        Floor

Crushed,   broken or otherwise damaged 

If 25% or more of ther original cross   section is affected, need repair

Splits at   ends  

If more than 25% of the width of the   board affected and If broken part of board is loose , need repair

Other splits 

If split depth is more than 2/3 of board   thickness, and length of split is longer than 1m (or more than 2/3 of the   board’s length), need repair

Gouging 

If gouge affects more than 25% of width   of board and more than 2/3 of board thickness, need repair

Distorted

If the board cannot be re-secured or if   safe cargo storage may be affected, need repair

Height differences between planks 

If more than 10 mm, need repair

RottennessDelaminate 

Consult customer

Fastening of floor to be checked

If boards   loose, need repair 

New floor plank required

If floor plank is inserted, the plank   must cross a minimum of 3 cross members and planks adjacent to each other   must not end up on the same cross member. 

Inserts using   plywood are unacceptable unless otherwise agreed. Floor plank inserts must be   like for like (or better)

         Decals

           

Decals and/or unit numbers missing or not   displayed properly

Checked that all decals are intact and   unit numbers displayed on all sides. Missing, loose or illegible markings to   be repaired/replaced. 

20

 Cleaning

           

Normal dirt and dust accepted, depot to   advise when cleaning is required
